Step-by-step guides for connecting branded domains, configuring Apple Universal Links, verifying Android App Links, and routing mobile traffic deterministically.

Step 1

Quickstart Guide

Configure a working smart link in three initial steps:

Domain Delegation: Delegate a subdomain (e.g. go.yourdomain.com) by adding a CNAME pointing to anycast.deepilo-routing.net.
App Association: Add your Apple Team ID and bundle identifier for iOS, and package name with SHA-256 fingerprint for Android.
Create Smart Link: Define your campaign slug (e.g. /summer), fallback store IDs, and default web fallback destination.

Android App Links require an intent-filter in your AndroidManifest.xml with android:autoVerify="true".

iOS Universal Links Configuration

In Xcode under Signing & Capabilities, add the Associated Domains capability with your custom subdomain prefix:

Edge Association File Hosting

After a domain is connected and association publishing is available, Deepilo will serve these files over HTTPS with proper content-type headers and zero redirect hops:

Expected endpoint after association publishing. It must use Content-Type: application/json and safe edge caching.

Expected association content validates SHA-256 fingerprints matching your Android production release certificate.

Deepilo uses Cloudflare for SaaS edge technology to provision custom SSL certificates and verify domain ownership.

Edge Architecture & Privacy

Routing decisions execute on Cloudflare Workers deployed globally. Requests are classified entirely via standard HTTP headers. Deepilo does not write cookies, track cross-app user profiles, or store PII in edge logs.

Designed around standard platform association mechanisms without cross-app fingerprinting.

Diagnostics

Troubleshooting & Common Gotchas

In-App Browsers (Instagram, TikTok)

Some in-app WebViews intentionally suppress native Universal Link triggers. Deepilo utilizes standard fallback routing to ensure the user still reaches your configured destination.

Android Assetlinks SHA-256 Mismatch

If you use Google Play App Signing, ensure you extract the certificate fingerprint from the Play Console (Release > App Integrity) rather than your local upload keystore.
